MT Sense Dance Company

MT Sense Dance Company was created in 2002 and is a modern, multicultural performing arts organisation based in Bristol. Its aim is to present diverse & spectacular entertainments to a wide ranging audience nationally, bringing together talented artists from different age groups, ethnicities and artists constrained by a physical disability such as hearing impairment.

Our last successful performances were at the QEH Theatre in Bristol on April 4th-5th 2008. The show “The Second Nature” revealed the captivating and moving story of a misunderstood and gifted mute boy, Ben, who mysteriously finds himself spirited away to different countries. With his mother and doctor frantically looking for him, this unveils the beginning of a magical journey around the world, where the boy faces challenges he must overcome.

The performance combines acting, sign language, singing, music and dance, involving a cast of 25 experienced performers (actors, dancers, gymnasts and musicians) from the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, Spain, France and the UK.

The Second Nature's aim is not only to raise intercultural awareness (encouraging the understanding and tolerance of other cultures), but also to build a creative platform for self expression & empowerment making a positive difference to people’s lives. We are all artists who currently enjoy a growing reputation in Bristol and the UK.

We believe that people from different cultures should come together in peace and friendship.

We hope that our monthly multicultural dance evening “Rhythm Nation” will help support our project financially.

We are also available for hire or offer a short version of the performance designed specifically for corporate events.
